The 2008 Microwave International New Media Arts Festival had a focused theme of “Transient Creatures” which explored the boundaries of “life” and “non-life” in our digitalized world and included robotics, cybernetics, bio-art/bio-tech etc.
The Festival organizers invited a robot maker from Beijing, Wu Yulu to exhibit his metallic children in their Project Room exhibition. This documentary video is of Wo Yula's studio village and document his life and work there.
