Solar-powered Trilobot meanders a variety of terrains

"Trilobot is a complex machine in the tradition of W. Grey Walter or Valentino Braitenberg. In construction philosophy it is inspired by the likes of Mark Tilden, David Hrynkiw and Robert Full, in aesthetic by Arthur Ganson and Theo Jansen. This robot is entirely solar powered so it's autonomous in control and energy acquisition (no batteries or remote)."

The image I posted here (from Endgadget) makes this solar-powered robot from Dan Roe appear rather menacing, but it is, however quite cute. Once you have seen it navigating a variety of terrains, you will probably wonder when you can get one !
