A group of students from the Animation Supinfocom college in Arles , Romain Jouandeau, Adrien Chartie, Gilles Mazières and Fabien Thareau, recently produced a short 9 min 3D CG movie.
I'm beginning to feel at a loss as more and more the term 3D is applied to a huge variety of media. The creators/makers in this instance are moreso echoing the names and references of the software packages they used and how their best of intentions relied heavily on imitating real world experiences. The movie evidently took 100's of hours of invested labor and a keen sense of exploiting the best from their software, Realflow and Dreamscape among others.
