Event Horizon Captured of Black Hole at the Galactic Core
Since we now know that space is cuvred and that light contributes to its warping, many astro junkies and sci-tech geeks have managed to zoom directly into the center of our Milky Way galaxy with unparalleled detail.
Andrew J. Hanson of the University of Indiana reveals all here in his clever animation which was " put together using data collected by astronomers all over the world to examine the surroundings of the Black Hole suspected to be present at the centre of our Milky Way galaxy."
Lucky for us and this post this picture in today's Astronomy Picture of the Day provides us with a full, on upfront view of our galaxy (mind you the image linked is big), whew unreal!
