A contemporary artist from Beijing, Li Wei, became deeply affected by the rapid economic change and development of China over the past decade.
He sensed the impact on people's perceptions and emotions moving from the wide open spaces of farmlands to the very small confined living spaces of high rise apartments.
Upon deciding to drop out of studying painting at art school, Li Wei realized his ideas through performance art, photography and digital manipulation to document this shift in people perceptions and emotions.
Li Wei here in the video below documents his rationale, techniques, technologies, highlights and outputs of his amazing gravity defying frozen moments.
The video here made by The Creators Project's, but be sure to drop by Li Wei's website to see more of his unreal work.
