Glass Harp Duo bathes our Christmas cheer

Well low and behold it's christmas and oh, oh oh, how so many of us hear the all too familiar christmas songs, hymns and tunes at this time, like Silent Night or Jingle Bells.

But I can think of no better way then to quench our heartfelt listening pleasure, at this time than with a universally recognised piece of music on the phenomenal sound of a glass harp,

The skill and dexterity required to successfully play on this pristine musical instrument means to continuously have moistened finger tips and delicately touch each wine glass rim with precision and bravado.

Here in the video below we are entertained by the Glass Duo of Polish couple Anna and Arkadiusz Szafraniec performing P. Tchaikovsky's Sugar Plum Fairy at the Festival di Stefano in Basilica di Sanyo Stefano Bologna, Italy.

"What we try to capture, wanders somewhere at the verge of our ideas of angelic music, a mythical world, and instruments which sound only in our dreams... " Glass Duo
